GET /cases.json

Each case includes its type, date, primary source and bilingual content. incident denotes an actual event; simulation denotes a controlled test, not a real-world probability.

Illustrative assumptions, not measured risk: amounts are CAD and ratios are decimals. Expenses plus margin must be below 1. This example yields payout 20,000 and annual cost 615.38, rounded.

payout = min(max(loss − deductible, 0), limit)
annual = (probability × payout + capital + fixed)
         / (1 − expenses − margin)

Models at most one specified incident per year; excludes correlated or repeated incidents. Status is always HYPOTHETICAL_ONLY_NOT_A_QUOTE. Invalid inputs return 400, oversized bodies 413 and non-JSON requests 415.
